USGBC Live is the leading event platform for the future of buildings, cities and communities. USGBC Live combines the expertise of the largest community of green building leaders with the data, insights, stories and leadership from the thousands of LEED and green building projects around the globe to produce insightful and engaging conversations about the future of buildings, cities and communities.
USGBC Live will be held June 8-10, 2021, coupled with monthly touchpoints designed to further your expertise and keep you up to date on the latest and greatest in green building, year-round.
USGCB Live will be presented digitally – available online from anywhere.
You must be registered to join the USGBC Live digital event platform. Once you have registered, you can visit this link to access the Event site. You will need to use the email you associated with your registration from this link. You’ll receive an email and an SMS access code via your mobile with an access code to enter the digital event platform. This is uniquely tied to your registration and can’t be shared. Yes. USGBC Live will accommodate global times zones, including U.S., Canada and Latin America, Europe, Middle East, India and China. Each USGBC Live showing will feature regional content and speakers to ensure topics are relevant to your area.
This year, USGBC Live registration will be offered at a nominal cost, available to those in the USGBC community including USGBC members, Employees of active national member organizations (no lapsed members), active individual members (no lapsed members), LEED and GBCI credential holders (all active and expired), LEED and GBCI project participants (projects registered or certified within the past three years), active Faculty, active Education @USGBC subscribers, active Learning Lab subscribers, active Web-based Reference Guide subscribers, and active Education Partners. A web browser. Chrome or Firefox are recommended browsers for this event. Make sure you have the latest version uploaded to your desktop or device. You will also need a dedicated or stable internet connection, and a desire to engage and learn!
Participants from China, we recommend you access USGBC Live via a licensed VPN connection.
Many of our sessions will integrate with Zoom. Be sure to download Zoom to your desktop or device to avoid any last minute prep. Your experience will be best if you take a little time to prepare in advance.
All sessions on the program are listed in Eastern Daylight Time (UMT-4), the local time zone in Washington, D.C.

Yes! Replays for live event attendees and for those who have purchased the post-event Replay pass for $75, will be available in the Attendee Hub for 60 days following the conference. Access to event content will end on August 10.
Yes, certain sessions will be translated into Mandarin and Spanish. Look for a link within each session's description to see which are available.
Registration and Cancellation
Access to all USGBC Live June 8-10 activities including global brand leaders, trending content and 10 big name thought leaders and inspirational keynotes, 60-day replay access to the digital event content, potential to earn live attendance CEs, access to attendee appointments, leadership award ceremonies and much more.
For those who have purchased the post-event Replay pass for $75, access to event content will end on August 10, 60 days from the last day of the event itself.
Global accessibility to USGBC Events is an organizational priority. The pricing structure is based on economic considerations excerpted from the World Economic Situation Prospects report published by the United Nations in 2020. Pricing adjustments based on qualifying regions are automatically made at the time of registration, based on your billing address which must be located in a designated low- or middle-income country. Please review Table E on page 9 of the country list to verify your eligibility. If you feel you qualify for a pricing adjustment but do not see one reflected when you register, please email email@example.com.
We do not offer daily passes to USGBC Live so there is only one all access pass. But, even if you can’t attend the entire three-day event live, you can access all content on-demand, at your convenience following the event.
USGBC Live 2021 is non-refundable. As a registered attendee, you will have access to all content recordings and the digital event hub for 60 days after the event. If you would prefer to transfer your event pass to another participant please email firstname.lastname@example.org by May 25, 2021.
USGBC Live is focused on hearing from our stakeholders on how they are driving awareness and adoption and where LEED is headed. We are looking for sessions detailing actionable insights, digital tools and strategic best practices critical to staying current with LEED. We are looking for sessions that support, our four pillars, Sustainability, Health and wellness, Resilience and want to see these intertwined into your session and how the work is being done by USGBC and its stakeholders. Please consider how to weave these pillars throughout your content submission to demonstrate this importance.
The submitter is considered the organizer for this proposal. They are the person ultimately responsible for organizing and submitting all proposal and speaker details.
All USGBC Live communications will go through the submitter, and they are responsible for communicating this information to their speakers (if applicable).
The submitter can also be a speaker on the session they are organizing, but do not necessarily have to participate directly.
No, this year the USGBC Live submission deadline is April 12, 2021, 11:59 pm EST. There are no exceptions and late submissions cannot be accommodated.
USGBC Live offers several session formats. Below are the formats you can choose from with a description and speaker allotment for each in the submission site. You may select multiple options for each proposal.
- 1-4 Presenters, 30 or 45 minutes in length
- Formats include: Lectures, Flash Charrettes, Structured Discussions and Debates, check out the submittal guide for specifics on these formats
- 1-2 Presenters, 30 minutes
- Impactful and high-energy presentations focused on trending content and insights
Listen – Podcasts/Audio Only
- 1-3 Presenters, 30 minutes
- A podcast style, audio only presentation which will be pre-recorded
No, submission is complimentary, and there is no cap on the amount of submissions you can submit.
